NCCPL Agreements and Privileges for Regular and Associate Members

NCCPL Regular Members:

  1. May participate in the NCCPL Resource Sharing including Direct Borrowing privileges and free ILL.
  2. Must maintain current holdings information in Docline and use Docline for free article ILL among regular members.
  3. Must contribute monographic and serials holdings via cataloging or tape load to OCLC as a vehicle for the NCCPL Union Catalog and ILL among member libraries.
  4. May participate in group purchasing discounts for online databases.
  5. May have password access to the members mailing list posted on the NCCPL.org website.
  6. Have voting privileges in NCCPL.

NCCPL Associate Members:

  1. May participate in group purchasing.
  2. Must contribute and maintain holdings information in the databases identified by NCCPL as the union lists for serials or monographs (e.g., OCLC, and Docline) in order to qualify for receiving free ILL.
  3. Do not qualify for direct borrowing although referrals may be made for on-site use of other member library collections.
  4. Do not have voting privileges in NCCPL.
  5. May have password access (same as #6 above).
